I have always hated angsty, rant type blogs, so I'm trying to cut the habit and not let too much of my discontent show through. Is it in Scotland's nature to be pessimistic? Term has started back, which is kind of good and bad. I get to see all my friends, and I'm also doing some kick-ass subjects this year (namely English and Classics), which is my last one. On the other hand, it's come far too quickly and I don't think I've had a really holiday (I went from the end of term straight into work experience and then to India, going up to Brora right after and then back and forth constantly between there and Glasgow). To be fair, India isn't really big on the internet, and I never could find the hotel's bloody computer. So, what have I been doing? Teaching in Dalit schools, sweating, sitting exams, panicking about exams, avoiding doing all the things I said I'd do at the start of the summer, running around Edinburgh, being the only female in the Urology department, learning how to diagnose chest X-rays and ECG graphs, looking a bit clueless in the AAU, trying to pick a new laptop, trying to pick a new phone, cleaning my room (or attempting to), desperately

You know that folio I was talking about? Well, I got most of it back, but my art teacher entered my final outcome into a competition (unbeknown to me), and... I won a highly commended and it's hanging in the Royal Scottish Academy. HIGHLY COMMENDED. THE ROYAL SCOTTISH ACADEMY. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH YAS YAS YAS WHOO HOO !!!!!! (It's an oil pastel of a creel in the Friend's room, if anybody is interested. Oh, and Happy Hogmanay gaiz. I'm off to go squeal some more. 8DDDDD )
